It aspires to be:
(1) A global port, offering encounters with new information that transcend national boundaries
(2) A harbor of fresh items, ideas and meetings
(3) Co-organized with everyone, providing flexible structures, connections and opportunities to create together
Ports are places where new things arrive from all over the world; where people connect with each other.
MINTA-TO exhibits and sells contemporary artworks, introduces products by new designers, supplies information on exhibitions in the Tokyo area, sells tickets for performances on the same day, and presents workshops and lectures by varied guests.
It is a cultural hub for people, things and ideas to intersect freely in the city.
The space was designed by the up-and-coming architect Motosuke Mandai.
