Launched in 2000, Spiral Independent Creators Festival (SICF) is an open-call art festival that aspires to discover, foster, and support emerging artists and designers. Organized by Spiral, a cultural facility complex in Tokyo’s Minami-Aoyama, SICF brings together creative talent across different fields and disciplines to present their work. During the festival, the venue at Spiral bustles with a wide variety of visitors including art enthusiasts as well as professionals from the creative industries such as gallerists, collectors, producers, and buyers. In this way, SICF has continued to expand as a platform for artistic activities through encounters between new talent and visitors.
At the end of the festival, a series of prizes are announced, including the Audience Award, which is selected by visitors, as well as the Judges’ Awards, Second Prize, and Grand Prize. The winners also receive the opportunity to exhibit their work at Spiral.
Applications are open for work by ambitious artists and designers striving to challenge existing values.

ELIGIBILITY
(1)All creation genres, ages, and nationalities are eligible.
Each participant must be present at booth at all times during the exhibition.
(2)Participation either as individual or as group.
HOW TO APPLY
To register please enter all the necessary information(cv, exhibition plan, picture of art work, etc.) within the submission period on SICF web.
SELECTION
The selection will be announced at the beginning of March and the list of SICF participants will be published on SICF official website in mid-March.
Those who passed the screening process will be able to participate in SICF21.

Group A May 2nd and 3rd, 2020, 11:00 – 19:00 (50 exhibitors)
Group B May 5th and 6th, 2020, 11:00 – 19:00 (50 exhibitors)
