spiral market selection vol.487 Toshihisa Ishihara exhibition "Salt, grill and one more thing"
Toshihisa Ishihara is a ceramist based in Fukuoka. He mainly produces "hand building" pottery, a method of directly molding clay by hand, to create vessels and objects with a warm texture.
In this exhibition, we will mainly present vessels such as salt jars and grill plates.
Ishihara's pieces are all unique, fashioned one by one, art-piece-like objects and yet they perfectly integrate into the daily life.
In addition to this solo show, a colloborative exhibition with illustrator Kumiko Sakagami will be held at Entrance (Spiral 1F).
