Fujiwo Ishimoto《BLOOMING》

Across his long career, Fujiwo Ishimoto has ambitiously pursued new forms of expression inspired by the rich nature of Finland and the landscape of Tobe, the town of Shikoku where he grew up. Having created more than 400 designs over 32 years for the internationally beloved Finnish lifestyle brand Marimekko, he now works for the well-established Finnish ceramics manufacturer Arabia.  

In June 2019, Spiral Garden (Spiral 1F) has had the priviledge to host his solo exibition, Fujiwo Ishimoto: From Marimekko Flowers to Ceramic Fruits (Japanese only) . 

This time, the exhibition presents works arrived directly from Finland to Spiral (including new works).　The exhibition contains 6 reliefs of colorful flowers, symboles of Ishimoto's work on ceramic and also 3 plates representing a powerful yet tranquil scenery, they can serve, on special occasions, on the dining table , and a series of small work titled "Mitsukan".

Spiral Online Store（store.spiral.co.jp）proposes these works until April 12th, 2020. If you are interested please apply to the lottery. Due to the number of buyers interested in purchasing Ishimoto's work a lottery has been organized to select the buyers, we count on your understanding. Please also note, that Spiral Online Store is in Japanese only and delivers only in Japan.
