SPIRAL Creators File　Form of lives

“SPIRAL Creators File” is a series of events centered on a selection of creators who participated at Spiral open-call art festival “SICF”.

The art works presented for this opening event will focus on the topics of the communication with others. They were imagined by SICF21 exhibitor Toshiko Fujita, who paints “girls with their faces covered by a drape” and by the winner of SICF23 Daily Art Award, Tomoya Okoshi.

Yoshiko Fujita uses 3 colors, red, blue, and silver, to express subtle human emotions through curtain drapes. We tend to count on others’ facial expressions to understand and balance our behaviour, the covering in her paintings, is an intent to make us think about what it means to trully be ourselves.
As part of his "OBJECTRUM" series, Tomoya Okoshi, has researched "traditional Japanese forms" and recreated them in vivid colors,  conveying the "power" that lives in the original form.
