クリエイティブ業界屈指の目利き、現代アートシーンを牽引するギャラリストのセレクションによる美術作品、骨董、工芸、北欧家具など累計500点を超える作品群を展示・販売するアートフェア「Selected Art Fair 2018 『蒐集衆商(しゅうしゅうしゅうしょう)』」。

今年度は南條史生（森美術館館長）、西高辻信宏（太宰府天満宮 権宮司）、皆川明（minä perhonen 代表、デザイナー）、木田隆子（エル・デコ ブランドディレクター）、遠山正道（株式会社スマイルズ代表取締役社長）らをセレクター（作品推薦者）として招聘し、話題を喚起しました。

レアンドロ・エルリッヒ、川俣正、ダミアン・ハーストなど、高価格帯の作品が並んだほか、話題性のある作家の出品が実現し、会期中の来場者は10,000人を突破しました。

また、プログラムパートナーとして、国内最大級のデザインの祭典「DESIGNART」との共同によるカンファレンスをスパイラルホールで開催したほか、表参道・青山・原宿エリアで開催された「青参道アートフェア2018」と同会期で開催。アートやデザインに気軽に触れる機会を、青山・表参道エリア一帯に創出しました。

Selected Art Fair Shu Shu Shu Show 2018 Carefully chosen by the expert eyes of people from the creative industries and leading figures in the art gallery scene, the 2018 edition of the Selected Art Fair Shu Shu Shu Show featured over 500 examples of artworks, antiques, crafts, Scandinavian furniture, and more.

This year welcomed Fumio Nanjo (Director, Mori Art Museum), Nobuhiro Nishitakatsuji (Chief Priest, Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine), Akira Minagawa (founder and designer, minä perhonen), Ryuko Kida (Brand Director, ELLE DÉCOR), and Masamichi Toyama (President and CEO, Smiles Co.,Ltd.) as the selectors (artwork nominators), attracting much attention from the public.

Featuring premium-priced artworks by the likes of Leandro Erlich, Tadashi Kawamata, and Damien Hirst alongside various other trending artists, the fair attracted over 10,000 visitors.

In addition to holding a conference in Spiral Hall as a partner event jointly organized with DESIGNART, the largest design festival in Japan, the fair took place concurrently with Aosando Art Fair 2018, which happens in the Omotesando, Aoyama, and Harajuku area. As such, these events together formed a superb opportunity for visitors to come easily into contact with art and design in the neighborhood of Aoyama and Omotesando.
